Patient Peanut Gaming – PC Reviews & Critiques

This site is dedicated to patient gaming, and provides both spoilerfree reviews and in-depth critiques of games. Patient gaming is for the purpose of this site defined as games older than a year from their first release, including early access games. DLC content will wait a minimum of 3 months instead of a year. Games are only played on a high-speced PC at 1440p on a keyboard and mouse unless otherwise specified. I have high standards when it comes to games, which means that my reviews and critiques are harsher than most other reviewers.

There is no such thing as a perfect game that everyone will enjoy. The single most important aspect of a review is therefore conveying what a game does. The quality of the game is of secondary concern. In order to convey this information as quickly as possible I use 6 categories as seen in the figure below, along-side a technical and overall score. A score of 5 indicates that the category is done well, and a score of 1 indicates that it is absent from the game. The overall score is given independently of all everything else. For a more in-depth explanation of the nauences of the system see the score system explained here.
